G7 ambassadors, Energoatom leadership discuss more interconnectivity with rest of Europe
G7 ambassadors and the leadership of Ukraine's National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom have discussed the plans for modernization and deeper integration of energy systems with the rest of Europe.
According to Ukrinform, the diplomats announced this on the Twitter account of the UK Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors' Support Group in Kyiv.
"G7 Ambassadors met the Energoatom leadership to discuss the company's plans for modernization & more interconnectivity with the rest of Europe," the tweet reads.
It notes that the ambassadors highlighted the need for a liberalized, competitive electricity market and Energoatom's corporatization in line with OECD guidelines.
