Ukraine’s grain exports exceed 10M tonnes
Ukraine has exported 10.29 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops so far in the 2021/2022 marketing year (MY, started on July 1, 2021), which is 1.085 million tonnes more than in the same period of the previous MY, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Between July 1 and September 10, Ukraine exported 5.922 million tonnes of wheat (252,000 tonnes less than in the same period of the previous MY), 2.992 million tonnes of barley (593,000 tonnes more), 14,300 tonnes of rye (12,800 tonnes more), 1.338 million tonnes of corn (730,000 more). In addition, 24,400 tonnes of wheat flour were exported (12.500 less).
As reported, in 2020/2021 MY, Ukraine exported 44.72 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, including 16.64 million tonnes of wheat, 4.23 million tonnes of barley, 18,400 tonnes of rye, and 23.08 million tonnes of corn. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, as of September 10, 2021, Ukraine threshed 45 million tonnes of grain of the new harvest.
