Government approves draft agreement on air services with Ethiopia

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft agreement on air services with the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The Ukrainian government supported a relevant resolution at its meeting on September 15, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to the explanatory note to the resolution, the agreement will create a bilateral legal framework necessary for regular air services between Ukraine and Ethiopia.

In addition, the agreement will also help liberalize the air transportation market between Ukraine and Ethiopia. In particular, the document provides for the procedure for regulating the implementation of such services, establishes the procedure for issuing flight permits, defines the provisions on air safety and regulates the commercial aspects of air transportation, etc.

The Cabinet of Ministers authorized Head of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine Oleksandr Bilchuk to sign the agreement from the Ukrainian side.
