Cabinet of Ministers takes over powers of Naftogaz's supervisory board

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed three supervisory board’s members representing the state at NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and took over the powers of the supervisory board.

The corresponding decision was approved at an extraordinary government meeting on September 27, Yuliya Kovaliv, a member of the supervisory board representing the state, wrote on Facebook.

"The powers of all members of the supervisory board have been terminated, so the shareholder (Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine) and the new management will make all important decisions for the company," Kovaliv wrote.

She added that she hopes that Naftogaz will continue to move towards building a successful oil and gas company that is governed by the principles of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.

After September 21, Naftogaz's supervisory board included three representatives of the state: Yuliya Kovaliv, Nataliya Boyko and Yulia Svyrydenko.
