Development of industrial parks will help create jobs - Chernyshov

An effective regional network of industrial parks can create thousands of new jobs in the regions, which will strengthen the economic potential of territorial communities and create added value for Ukrainian production, Communities and Territories Development Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov has said.

"The economy of our country needs strong incentives for development. The development of industrial parks is, in particular, a way for people to stay in Ukraine and return here, live and work at home, in their own community. Each hectare of an industrial site can create about 50 jobs. That is, the average industrial park means a thousand or more employed citizens. This is an important indicator of economic development in the regions," the Communities and Territories Development Ministry's press service quoted Chernyshov as saying.

At the same time, he stressed that "the main thing is not the number of such sites, but the quality - that is, jobs created in industrial parks and high value-added goods that will be produced there."
