Minister Marchenko, Ambassador Brodsky discuss Ukraine-Israel cooperation
Ukrainian Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko met with newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky on October 26, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Finance Ministry’s press service.
The parties discussed the current economic situation, the pension system in Ukraine and bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Israel, in particular in the fields of IT and investment.
In addition, Marchenko and Brodsky discussed possible cooperation and exchange of experience between the Ministries of Finance of the both countries in the areas of fiscal policy and the operation of startup funds.
Marchenko congratulated Brodsky on his appointment and stressed the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Israel. The Ukrainian minister told about the economic situation in the country, namely ensuring financial stability during the pandemic, effective fiscal policy and cooperation with the IMF.
The parties also discussed the pension system of Ukraine and possible options for its reform.
