Ukraine’s electricity exports grew 3.1 times last week - Ukrenergo

Ukraine’s electricity exports totaled 61.7 million kWh between October 25 and October 31, 2021, which is 3.1 times more than in the previous week, Ukrinform reports, referring to the press service of NEC Ukrenergo.

It is noted that the average daily exports from the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant (TPP) Energy Island rose by 3.4 times, compared to October 18-24, to 61.4 million kWh, whereas from Ukraine’s integrated energy system - decreased by 4.3 times to 0.3 million kWh.

At the same time, exports to Moldova decreased by four times last week compared to the previous week (occurring only at some hours on October 25 and 26), and there were no exports to Poland. Exports to Slovakia increased the most - 10.7 times.

It is noted that there were no electricity imports from any country on October 18-24. Ukrenergo stresses that there have been no imports since September 21.

As reported, in September 2021 Ukraine’s electricity exports decreased by 11.5%, compared with the previous month, to 304.3 million kWh, imports - by 966 times, to 0.028 million kWh.
