Ukraine exports 20.6M tonnes of grain
Ukraine has exported 20.605 million tonnes of grain crops as of November 8, 2021, which is 3.254 million tonnes more than on the same date in the previous marketing year, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has reported.
In particular, Ukraine exported 12.888 million tonnes of wheat, 4.52 million tonnes of barley, 70,600 tonnes of rye, and 2.926 million tonnes of corn.
In addition, Ukraine supplied 44,100 tonnes of wheat flour and flour made from other crops to foreign markets, which was 18,500 tonnes less than in the same period of the last marketing year.
On July 5, 2021, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and participants in the grain market signed a memorandum of understanding for the 2021/2022 marketing year.
On October 19, grain market participants and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food signed an annex to the memorandum of understanding for the 2021/2022 marketing year. The document sets maximum wheat exports at 25.3 million tonnes.
