Galushchenko, Kvien discuss Ukraine's energy security

Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko held a meeting with Chargé d'Affaires of the United States in Ukraine Kristina Kvien.

"The parties discussed energy security issues in the context of the autumn-winter period amid the global energy crisis and the threat posed by Russia," the Ministry of Energy posted on Facebook.

In particular, Galushchenko informed the American side about the current state of affairs in Ukraine's energy sector and progress in synchronizing Ukraine's energy system with the European ENTSO-E.

For her part, Kvien assured that the United States is ready to assist Ukraine in ensuring stability and security of energy supply.

In November, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the United States was closely monitoring any signs of Russia's use of energy as a weapon and political tool.
