PM Shmyhal: Ukraine has received UAH 8.1B from privatization over two years
Ukraine has received UAH 8.1 billion from privatization in 2020-2021.
“In 2020-2021, the state has actually received UAH 8.1 billion from privatization. If we take the previous years, from 2012 to 2019, only UAH 6.5 billion was received. In fact, this demonstrates the pace of privatization processes. I call it privatization reform," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said while opening the Ukraine–Croatia Business Forum in Kyiv together with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković on December 8, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
According to him, the authorities intensified the privatization process last year. Apart from small-scale privatization, large-scale privatization is underway. "Most Ukrainian entrepreneurs are aware of successful examples. Privatization takes place through open auctions on the Internet. It is impossible to reach some agreements, it is impossible to stimulate these things in some corrupt way. Indeed, everything is very open," he said.
The Prime Minister invited international investors, especially investors from Croatia, to participate in the privatization process in Ukraine.
