Economy Ministry drafting new strategy for partnership with World Bank

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is drafting a new Ukraine–World Bank Partnership Strategy for 2022-2026.

As Ukrinform reports, the Ministry’s press service announced this following a meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and World Bank Regional Country Director Arup Banerji.

The event was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Denys Kudin and Deputy Minister – Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.

The parties discussed the preparation of the new Ukraine–World Bank Partnership Strategy for 2022-2026 and other key issues of cooperation.

"The most attractive industries for investment in Ukraine are mechanical engineering, energy, information technology, agriculture, construction. Therefore, I hope that these priorities will be reflected in the partnership strategy with Ukraine for 2022-2026," Svyrydenko said.

As reported, consultations on the preparation of Ukraine–World Bank Partnership Strategy for 2022-2026 will last until February 2022, and the first project is expected to be presented in March.
