UAH 1.084T transferred to general fund of Ukraine's state budget in 2021

The general fund of the state budget received UAH 1.084 trillion in January-December 2021, or UAH 30 billion more than planned, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's press service has said.

"According to the latest data of the State Treasury Service for 2021, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 1.084 trillion, with the plan fulfilled by 102.8%, or UAH 30 billion more," the statement reads.

In 2021, revenues to the general fund of the state budget, the payment of which is controlled by the State Customs Service, amounted to UAH 409.3 billion, with the plan fulfilled by 103.2% (an increase of UAH 12.6 billion). Of the total revenues, UAH 380.3 billion came in the form of value added tax and UAH 26.6 billion as import duties.

Of this amount, UAH 99.9 billion, including UAH 49.7 billion in tax payments and UAH 45.5 billion in customs duties, was received in the last month of 2021.

The payment of a single contribution for compulsory state social insurance to the Pension Fund and social insurance funds in 2021 amounted to UAH 349 billion, or UAH 10.7 billion more than expected by the State Tax Service. Of this amount, UAH 38.6 billion came in December.

According to the State Treasury Service's latest figures for January-December 2021, expenditures from the general fund of the state budget amounted to UAH 1.258 trillion, or 98.4% of the target. Social expenditures, spending on defense, debt and subsidies to local budgets were financed in full according to the plan on the basis of payment orders.

In January-December 2021, the general fund of the state budget posted a deficit of UAH 166.8 billion, with the plan for the reporting period being UAH 220.9 billion.
