Ukraine, Azerbaijan intensifying cooperation in transportation and aviation
Ukraine and Azerbaijan agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of international road and rail transportation and aviation.
“The topical issue is the development of transit, the potential for creating the appropriate modern infrastructure. We need to intensify cooperation in the field of international road and rail transportation, as well as in the field of aviation.
We will continue to work together on a number of prospects, among other things, the creation of a transport corridor, possibly within the framework of GUAM, which unites Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova," President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a joint press briefing with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on January 14, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
According to the President, the issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture, titanium sector and many other important areas were also discussed at the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan.
The President is convinced that the visit of his Azerbaijani counterpart is significant and very meaningful. "It takes place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. And as a result, it qualitatively fills the strategic partnership between our countries in the political, economic, and very important security areas," Zelensky stressed.
In addition, Zelensky and Aliyev agreed to hold a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation soon.
