Infrastructure Ministry, EU Commission agree on roadmap for implementing CAA agreement
Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov and Director General of the European Commission's department for Mobility and Transport Henrik Hololei have agreed on a roadmap for implementing the Common Aviation Area (CAA) Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
The relevant decision was reached at an online meeting of Infrastructure Minister Kubrakov with representatives of the European Commission, according to the ministry’s press service.
"It is essential for the ministry to establish an effective dialogue on this issue with aircraft manufacturers, operators and air carriers so that all market participants feel the benefits of CAA with the EU as soon as possible," the press service cited the minister as saying.
According to Kubrakov, the ministry has launched the work on preparing the ratification of the CAA Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The relevant bill will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada soon.
He also added that the ministry is forming the Ukrainian part of the joint committee of the CAA Agreement.
