NBU provides almost UAH 1.87B in refinancing to six banks

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) provided UAH 1.865 billion in refinancing to six banks, Ukrinform reports, referring to the central bank’s press service.

“On February 18, 2022, a quantitative tender was held for the refinancing of banks for a term of 28 days. The application of six banks for a total sum of UAH 1,865.0 million at an interest rate of 11.00% per annum was satisfied,” the report says.

As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank suspended long-term refinancing and interest rate swaps from the fourth quarter of 2021. In addition, from October 1, the maturity of refinancing loans at weekly tenders was reduced from 90 to 30 days.
