Ukraine received about 6.5M tonnes of humanitarian aid over past day

Ukraine has received about 6.5 million tonnes of humanitarian aid over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Customs Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Currently, the customs clearance procedure for humanitarian aid has been simplified as much as possible. Hence, thousands of tonnes of humanitarian goods are delivered to Ukraine daily,” the report states.

On March 20, 2022, the total volume of humanitarian aid delivered to Ukraine reached 6,477,606 tonnes.

In particular, a total of 3,330.619 tonnes of humanitarian goods were cleared through Lviv Customs Office, 1,720.025 tonnes – through Volyn Customs Office, 958.246 tonnes – through Zakarpattia Customs Office, 394.000 tonnes – through Chernivtsi Customs Office, 74.283 tonnes – through Odesa Customs Office, 0.433 tonnes – through Vinnytsia Customs Office.

Traditionally, humanitarian goods include food products, drugs, medical supplies, hygiene products, flashlights, thermographic cameras and tents.

Also, a total of 233 transport vehicles were cleared through customs as humanitarian aid, including light motor vehicles, trucks, buses and ambulance cars.
