Government allocates UAH 32.8B for Defense Ministry
Providing the financial and organizational support for the Ukrainian Army is remaining the key focus area of the executive authorities. Hence, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has endorsed the allocation of UAH 32.81 billion for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Ukrainian government on April 5, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to the Government portal.
In particular, the Ukrainian government endorsed the allocation of UAH 1.45 billion for the Security Service of Ukraine and UAH 32.81 billion for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
“We are allocating funds from the reserve fund for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the Security Service of Ukraine. These funds will be spent on salaries, equipment, weapons, fuel and everything necessary for our defenders. The main resources of the state and budget are now directed to meet such needs,” Shmyhal said.
In his words, several countries offered free assistance in the treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian servicemen and civilians. The Ukrainian government endorsed a document intended to implement the relevant procedure quickly and correctly.
A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and bombarding peaceful cities and villages in Ukraine, torturing and murdering civilians.
