Ukraine to seize Russian ships undergoing rehaul in Izmail

Russian ships currently being repaired at the Izmail shipyard will soon be forcibly seized in favor of Ukraine.

This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Maksym Marchenko, Ukrinform reports.

"As for the Russian-flagged ships, which are currently at the shipyard in the city of Izmail, the Cabinet of Ministers will soon decide to forcibly seize these ships in favor of Ukraine," said the official.

In addition, Marchenko said that the region is working to ban and ban satellite broadcasts of Russian channels in southern Ukraine. "We will not allow hostile propaganda and hostile intelligence to operate in Odesa region," Marchenko stressed.

He also recalled that the Day of Liberation of Odesa from fascist invaders is approaching, and urged Odesa residents not to gather en masse outside memorials in honor of the city's liberators.
