Zelensky discusses possible fuel supplies to Ukraine with UAE’s new president

President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the possibility of supplying fuel to Ukraine with President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“Had a phone conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Congratulated on his election as President of the UAE. Discussed the possibilities of providing Ukraine with fuel, threats to global food security. Invited to take part in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine,” Zelensky posted on Twitter.

As a reminder, the Federal Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates elected Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the president.

On May 13, UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan died aged 73.
