National Bank projects GDP to decline by at least a third due to war
According to the National Bank estimates, GDP will decline by at least a third at the end of the year.
"As a result of the war, we expect GDP to decline by at least a third. We expect the inflation rate to speed up and exceed the 20% level," Deputy NBU Governor Serhiy Nikolaychuk said at a press briefing on the financial stability report, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He noted that the National Bank expected those processes to "remain controlled."
As reported, Ukraine’s GDP growth was over 3% in 2021.
