British billionaire Branson visits Hostomel airdrome, showing interest in its reconstruction
Richard Branson, a British billionaire and founder of Virgin Galactic, has visited the city of Hostomel, Kyiv Region, where fierce battles with Russian invaders were raging in late February 2022.
The relevant statement was made by Hostomel Military Administration Head Taras Dumenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to Dumenko, Branson is continuously showing support for Ukraine, its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the harshest sanctions against the Russian Federation, its leadership and economy.
“In Hostomel, Branson expressed interest in the airdrome of Antonov State Enterprise and its reconstruction prospects. The representatives of Ukroboronprom State Concern and Antonov State Enterprise told our guest of such prospects and the available airdrome reconstruction projects,” Dumenko noted.
A reminder that such settlements as Irpin, Bucha and Hostomel, and the entire Kyiv Region were liberated from Russian invaders in early April 2022.
