Ukraine to get $1.7B grant from partners for medical services – Shmyhal
Ukraine will receive $1.7 billion in grant funds from American partners to pay for medical services under the program of medical guarantees.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Ukraine will receive a $1.7 billion grant from a Single Donor Trust Fund created by the International Development Bank, the International Development Association and USAID. The relevant draft agreement has been approved at a government meeting today. These are the results of agreements reached by development partners because of Russia's large-scale aggression against Ukraine,” Shmyhal wrote.
He added that the grant will be attracted to the state budget of Ukraine on a non-refundable basis. The funds will be directed to cover the state budget's expenditures on medical services under the program of medical guarantees.
“This is extremely strong support from our American partners,” Shmyhal emphasized.
