First grain ship set to leave Ukraine on Monday
The possibility of the first grain carrier leaving one of Ukraine's ports on Monday is high.
That’s according to a spokesperson for Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who made a statement on Sunday, Ukrinform reports referring to Reuters.
"If all (details) are completed by tomorrow, it seems like there is a high possibility that the first ship will leave the port tomorrow...We will see ships leaving the ports the next day at the latest," Ibrahim Kalin said.
Speaking in an interview with broadcaster Kanal 7, Kalin said the joint coordination center in Istanbul will probably complete the final work on the exporting routes “very soon.”
As reported earlier, on July 22, as a result of the quadrilateral meeting of Ukraine, Turkey, the UN and Russia, held in Istanbul, an agreement was signed, according to which Ukraine would proceed with the exports of grain and other food products from its ports.
