Razoni ship docks at port of Mersin in Turkey - ambassador
The Razoni, the first ship to leave the port of Odesa, carrying a cargo of corn bound for Lebanon, has finally docked at the port of Mersin in Turkey.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Lebanon Ihor Ostash said this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform.
"The Razoni ship, which was the first to leave the Odesa port and headed for the port of Tripoli in Lebanon, has docked at the port of Mersin in Turkey, which means that all the problems surrounding this dry cargo ship have disappeared," he said.
Ostash added that on Saturday, when the ship was supposed to arrive in Tripoli, there were a lot of journalists waiting for the ship to come, and he personally felt the considerable importance of Ukraine for the world.
"I felt that Ukraine is very important for the world in the fight against a food crisis. Our country is really saving the world. I saw a huge interest in Ukraine regarding the supply of grain to countries in the Middle East," he said.
Earlier, a buyer in Lebanon refused to accept the cargo from the Razoni vessel, which was carrying more than 26,000 tonnes of corn, due to delivery delays.
