European Union Ukraine’s largest trade partner in 2021 - Parliament
More than 40% of Ukraine’s total trade in 2021 was with the European Union.
The press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The EU is the most important trading partner of Ukraine, accounting for more than 40% of its total trade in goods in 2021. In turn, Ukraine was the 15th largest trading partner of the EU, with about 1.2% of the total EU trade," the statement reads.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 27, during the press conference following the informal meeting of the members of the EU Council of Ministers with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson stated that the EU would stand by Ukraine as long as it is required and develop mutually beneficial trade immediately, without waiting for more favorable conditions.
