Energoatom delivers most necessary spare parts, chemical agents, diesel fuel to ZNPP

A column consisting of 25 trucks of Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine has reached the temporarily occupied city of Enerhodar and delivered the most necessary spare parts, chemical agents and diesel fuel to Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

The relevant statement was made by Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On September 16, 2022, a column consisting of 25 trucks of Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine, having passed enemy checkpoints, reached Enerhodar. The company delivered the most necessary spare parts required to repair the power transmission lines damaged and power units of Zaporizhzhia NPP, which continues to be terrorized by Russian occupiers,” the report states.

According to Energoatom, the emergency supply of chemical agents required for Zaporizhzhia NPP to operate was restored. Most importantly, additional fuel was delivered to ensure that diesel generators operate in case of blackouts.

Despite the danger and difficulties, the goods were delivered by Energoatom’s drivers, namely those from Khmelnytskyi NPP and Rivne NPP.

A reminder that Russian troops seized Zaporizhzhia NPP on March 4, 2022. Since then, Russian invaders had been deploying military equipment and ammunition within the site of the plant, as well as shelling the adjacent area.
