Expenditures from Ukraine’s state budget general fund reached UAH 1.2T since Feb 24
Between February 24, 2022 and September 1, 2022, the total amount of cash expenditures from Ukraine’s state budget general fund reached UAH 1.2 trillion.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Since the Russian full-scale invasion started, the total amount of cash expenditures from Ukraine’s state budget general fund has reached UAH 1,200.8 billion. In August 2022, the amount of expenditures came to UAH 212.7 billion,” the report states.
According to the ministry, most expenditures were as follows: salary payments and payroll charges (UAH 499 billion, including UAH 112.4 billion in August 2022), of which UAH 375.6 billion was paid to the military (including UAH 87.8 billion in August 2022); payments for the use of goods and services (UAH 268.7 billion, including UAH 34.1 billion in August 2022), of which UAH 149.7 billion was transferred in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and UAH 73.9 billion transferred by the National Health Service of Ukraine to implement public health service programs; social benefits (pensions, aid, scholarship) (UAH 257.4 billion, including UAH 43.2 billion in August 2022), etc.
A reminder that, in August 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted in favor of increasing expenditures on defense and economic recovery by more than UAH 270 billion through the increase in domestic borrowings.
