EU signs memorandum on providing Ukraine with EUR 5B in macro-financial assistance
The European Union has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on providing Ukraine with EUR 5 billion in macro-financial assistance.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
“The EU has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding on providing EUR 5 billion in macro-financial assistance. Grateful to [President of the European Commission] Ursula von der Leyen and [Executive Vice President of the European Commission] Valdis Dombrovskis for such decision,” Shmyhal wrote.
He stressed this is another gesture that the EU is determined “to support Ukraine in winning this war, rebuilding and pursuing European future”.
As reported, in September, the European Union decided to provide EUR 5 billion of additional macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
