President Zelensky thanks EU for macro-financial assistance

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked the European Union for providing EUR 2 billion in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine and expressed hope for the full program of EUR 9 billion to be implemented as soon as possible.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukraine received the next tranche of macro-fin aid from the EU – €2 billion. Grateful to the EU & President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen for support. We count on ASAP implementation of the full program – €9 billion. This is a crucial contribution to Ukraine’s financial stability & our victory,” Zelensky wrote.

A reminder that, on October 18, 2022, Ukraine received another tranche of EUR 2 billion in macro-financial aid from the European Union.
