Ukraine already exported 9M tonnes of agricultural products via sea ports

Between August 1 and October 27, 2022, Ukraine exported 9 million tonnes of agricultural products through the sea ports of Odesa region.

This was reported by the Infrastructure Ministry’s press service on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"Since August 1, 397 ships have already exported 9 million tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products to the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe through the ports of Great Odesa," the report reads.

On October 27, 7 vessels carrying 102,000 tonnes of agricultural products left the ports of Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi. The ships are heading the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe. Among them is the bulk carrier STELLA GS, which carries 30,600 tonnes of corn to Tunisia.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 22, in Istanbul, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres signed the initiative on the safe transportation of grain and foodstuffs from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi at the proposal of the United Nations.

The first ship with Ukrainian food products left Odesa port on August 1.
