Disney finally closing office in Russia: most employees already fired

The Walt Disney Company is completing the closure of its Moscow-based office.

This is reported by the Bulleten Kinoprokatchika profile outlet, according to Ukrinform.

The film distribution department of the studio was located in Moscow. The remaining part of the team will move to Disney's main Russian office in the Lotte Plaza shopping center to finish the necessary work before the company's operations in the Russian Federation are completely halted.

Currently, almost all communication with counterparties in the CIS countries takes place directly through Disney’s American office.

It should be recalled that in March 2022, Disney announced that it would stop distributing films in Russia. Last month, the company's Russian-language website and social media accounts were shut down.
