Emergency power outages to continue in Kyiv region on Thursday

Emergency rolling blackouts will continue as the situation with power supply in Kyiv region remains complicated.

That’s according to Oleksiy Kuleba, chief of the regional military administration, who reported the news on his Telegram channel, Ukrinform saw.

"According to Ukrenergo’s decision, emergency shutdowns are applied in our region. Emergency shutdowns are those that occur forcibly. They can be neither predicted nor scheduled. In the morning, experts will be able to offer a forecast of when we will be able to return to scheduled blackouts," the report says.

Kuleba noted that "the week will be difficult." At the same time, critical infrastructure facilities are equipped with generators and alternative power sources.

Emergency teams are dealing with the aftermath of the recent Russian missile strikes.

"I ask you to understand our difficult situation. Energy engineers are working to restore and stabilize the system," the statement emphasizes.

As reported by Ukrinform, on November 15, Russia launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine, hitting infrastructure facilities and residential buildings. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down more than 70 missiles out of more than 90 launched by Russia.
