U.S. to continue to support Ukraine in exporting grain to global markets – Brink

The United States will continue to support helping grain from Ukraine to reach global markets within the framework of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Extending the Black Sea Grain Initiative will contribute to reduced prices and ensure desperately-needed food from Ukraine can feed the world. We will continue to support helping grain from Ukraine to reach global markets, particularly countries in facing severe food insecurity,” she wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, at a meeting in Istanbul on November 17, Ukraine, the United Nations and Turkey agreed to extend the Black Sea Grain Initiative for a further 120 days.

Since August 1, when the Grain Initiative began, Ukraine has exported more than 11 million tonnes of agricultural products to 38 countries.
