Finland could deliver energy equipment to Ukraine next week

Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä of Finland said that the country could send the first batch of energy equipment to Ukraine as early as next week.

The minister spoke in an interview with Yle, Ukrinform reports.

Ukraine appealed to Finland for emergency assistance after Russia launched on Wednesday a barrage of missiles targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

"Yesterday, I asked companies to donate equipment, and today many responded positively to the request," Lintilä said.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the Energy Industry Association, Jukka Leskelä, notes that energy equipment has already been sent to Ukraine.

It should be recalled that on Friday, Interior Ministry official Pekka Tiainen said that Ukraine needs everything related to the energy sector, power generation, power transmission, and fuel.
