Ambassador Brink: US to help Ukraine protect and repair civilian infrastructure
The U.S. will provide Ukraine with air defense and energy assistance to help protect and repair civilian infrastructure.
“As Russia targets heat, water, and electricity for every person in Ukraine, including children and the elderly, we will continue to provide air defense against Russia's barbaric escalation and energy assistance to help Ukraine protect and repair civilian infrastructure,” U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink posted on Twitter.
As reported, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, during a conversation with journalists in Kyiv on December 3, informed that during meetings with representatives of Ukrenergo national power company, she discussed the beginning of energy equipment supplies from the US within the framework of the aid package announced by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and expressed the hope that this will take place in the coming days.
Earlier, the United States announced the allocation of more than $53 million for equipment for the repair and restoration of power grids in Ukraine damaged in Russian missile attacks.
