Ukraine’s GDP decline slows down to 30.8% in 3rd quarter

Ukraine’s real GDP in the 3rd quarter of this year decreased by 30.8% compared to the third quarter of 2021 and increased by 9% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2022.

"An operational assessment of GDP for the 3rd quarter of 2022 was carried out. The real GDP in the 3rd quarter of 2022 grew by 9.0% compared to the previous quarter (given the seasonal factor) and decreased by 30.8% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021," the State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs.

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service data, the GDP drop in the 2nd quarter of 2022 was 37.2% compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year, which is less than the previous estimates of the Ministry of Economy (40.6%).

According to the December estimate of the Ministry of Economy, the GDP will decline by 33.2% by the end of 2022 but the economy will grow by 3.2%next year.
