Ukraine, IFC sign memorandum to involve private investors in country’s recovery
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) will assist Ukraine with restoration and the attraction of infrastructure investments.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today the relevant memorandum has been signed with the IFC, which is part of the World Bank Group,” Shmyhal wrote.
In his words, cooperation will include the IFC’s assistance in selecting the priority projects on Ukraine’s restoration and creating favorable conditions for the attraction of private investment.
According to Shmyhal, this refers to public and private partnership projects in such sectors as transport and logistics, urban and social infrastructure, energy.
Additionally, the IFC will help to develop and implement the selected projects.
A reminder that Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska and Ukrainian government officials are paying a visit to France.
