World Bank approves additional $610M aid package to Ukraine
The World Bank has approved an additional financing package totaling $610 million to address urgent relief and recovery needs in Ukraine as the war with Russia continues.
That's according to Reuters, Ukrinform reports.
"The package includes an additional $500 million loan from the World Bank's International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) that is supported by a guarantee from Britain," the report said.
It also includes a new project to restore and improve access to health care and address war-related needs for health services.
The World Bank announced on December 16 that it has established a multi-donor trust fund aimed at supporting the Government of Ukraine as it addresses the relief and the subsequent recovery of the country, driven by critical needs from the ongoing war.
