Russian, Belarusian assets worth EUR 7.9M and USD 9.5M frozen in Lithuania

In view of sanctions, Lithuania has frozen EUR 77.883 million worth of assets owned by nine Russian companies and USD 9.457 million owned by six legal entities and one individual from Belarus.

The relevant statement was made on the website of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the ministry, Lithuanian Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė held a meeting with the management of the Financial Crimes Investigation Service (FNTT). The parties discussed the implementation of sanctions against Russia, as well as the activities of virtual currency wallet operators and virtual currency exchange operators in Lithuania.

A reminder that Lithuania will expand the number of the Ukrainian military undergoing training within the country in 2023.
