In MY2022/2023, Ukraine exports almost 31.8M t of cereals, legumes
According to the State Customs Service, in the current marketing year (July 2022 to February 27, 2023), Ukraine exported 31.78 million tonnes of cereals and legumes.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, as seen by Ukrinform.
It is noted that in the current marketing year, Ukraine exported 11.237 million tonnes of wheat, 2.047 million tonnes of barley, 15,800 tonnes of rye, and 18.203 million tonnes of corn.
At the same time, in the same period of MY2021/2022, Ukraine exported 43.515 million tonnes of cereals and legumes, including 18.092 million tonnes of wheat, 5.636 million tonnes of barley, 161,900 tonnes of rye, and 19.331 million tonnes of corn.
From February 1 to 27, 2023, 4.7 million tonnes of grain and legumes were exported from Ukraine (against 5.045 million tonnes on year), including 1.508 million tonnes of wheat (1.041 million tonnes as of last February), 229,000 tonnes of barley (154,000), 3,000 tonnes of rye (5,400) and 2.935 million tonnes of corn (3.813 million).
In 2022/2023, Ukraine exported 97,700 tonnes of flour (68,000 tonnes in 2021/2022). Over the 27 days of February 2023, 15,300 tonnes of flour have been exported from Ukraine (for the same period of February last year, it was 4,400 tonnes).
As Ukrinform reported earlier, as of February 2023, approximately 33 million tonnes of grain set for export remain in Ukraine, in particular, the grain of the 2021 harvest, which has not yet been shipped, and the cereals of the 2022 harvest.
At the same time, experts predict that in 2023, Ukraine will be able to export no more than 20 million tonnes of the new crop.
