Over UAH 3.2B transferred to state budget since privatization was resumed
Since Ukraine resumed privatization in September 2022, the State Property Fund has attracted more than UAH 3.2 billion in investments at more than 270 privatization auctions.
This was reported by the State Property Fund’s press service, according to Ukrinform.
“Due to the resumption of privatization, we are achieving several goals at once. First, we receive funds to support the Defense Forces. Second, we find an efficient private owner for a loss-making asset that will pay taxes in the future. Thirdly, we are solving the problem with debts to the budget and employees,” said Head of the State Property Fund Rustem Umerov.
According to the Fund, since privatization was resumed, new owners of state-owned enterprises will pay at least UAH 322 million in debts to the budget and employees.
As reported, the State Property Fund has held 81 privatization auctions and attracted UAH 1 billion from private investors this year. A total of 65% of the funds have already been transferred to the state budget.
