Grain deal must be open-ended – Advisor to Office of the President
The grain deal must be open-ended, because Ukraine is a guarantor of food security for 400 million people across the globe.
The relevant statement was made by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Dariia Zarivna during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The agreement should be extended, and it must be open-ended, because Ukraine is a guarantor of food security for 400 million people across the globe. During the validity of the grain deal, about 23 million tonnes of food products were exported from Ukraine. From our side, it is transparent, clear and reasonable, we have agreements with the UN and Türkiye. It is only Russia in this case that does everything to prevent this agreement from being implemented and being extended,” Zarivna told.
In her words, Russia is acting so to remove a competitor in the global market and weaken Ukraine’s economy, as well as part of its hybrid information war.
