Government endorses draft law on increasing state budget expenditures by 537B

The Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the draft law on increasing state budget expenditures by UAH 537 billion.

"Today, the Government endorsed the draft law on increasing state budget expenditures by UAH 537 billion. We suggest allocating more than UAH 518 billion to the security and defense sector and increasing the reserve fund by another UAH 19 billion. This will contribute to strengthening our defense capabilities and resisting Russian aggression," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal posted on Telegram.

According to him, thanks to the support from international partners, additional financial opportunities were found to support our army. "In the draft law, we propose to channel additional funds into payments to the military, the purchase of military and special equipment, etc. We count on the Parliament’s support," the Prime Minister added.

As reported, the Parliament and the Government are working on comprehensive changes to the state budget on the increase in spending to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military.
