Ukraine interested in close energy cooperation with Poland - ambassador

The Ukrainian authorities are interested in close energy cooperation with Poland.

That's according to Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych, Ukrinform reports with reference to Polskie Radio.

"We appreciate our cooperation very much. We have many projects that are already being implemented, despite Russian aggression," Zvarych said, adding that Kyiv is interested in ensuring that such energy cooperation with Warsaw is as close as possible.

He said Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the energy sector is not only about supporting Ukraine during Russian aggression.

According to him, Ukraine is already cooperating with Poland in the development of the Polish nuclear energy program. Ukrainian experts share their experience regarding the possibility of using this type of energy. Ukraine also supports Polish efforts to build a gas hub for countries in this region.

Earlier reports said Poland expects the Khmelnytskyi NPP-Rzeszow energy bridge to be operational within a few weeks.
