No electricity generation capacity shortage observed - operator

As of the morning of March 21, electricity generation surplus fully covers the required volumes for the needs of consumers across Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of Ukraine’s Energy Ministry, Ukrinform reports.

"Generation with a surplus provides the necessary volumes of power for the needs of electricity consumers throughout the country. At the same time, repair work continues at grid infrastructure facilities damaged by the latest massive shelling," the report says.

It is noted that short-term, power outages are possible in some areas of Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions.

As reported, as of 11:00 on March 20, electricity generation is sufficient to cover demand, but certain caps on power consumption are possible in Ukraine’s capital and the regions of Kyiv and Zhytomyr.
