Ukrhydroenergo suffers losses of almost UAH 40B due to Russian missiles attacks
Losses of PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, Ukraine's main hydropower generating company, as a result of Russian missile attacks, have reached almost UAH 40 billion.
The company’s press service said this in a statement, Ukrinform reports.
"In total, hydropower facilities have been struck more than 30 times since the beginning of massive shelling of the power system. The preliminary amount of losses caused by the Russian army reaches about UAH 40 billion," the report says.
It is noted that the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo at a regular meeting on March 21 reviewed and approved the management and executive body report for the fourth quarter of 2022 and the whole year. The report paid special attention to the aftermath of Russian missiles attacks on the company's facilities. At a meeting of the committee on innovations, Ukrhydroenergo's strategy in this area was presented.
"This policy is aimed at accelerating the implementation of innovations in daily work. In addition, it is important to systematize the innovations already implemented in the company. This is especially important for development and recovery after Russia’s attacks on Ukrhydroenergo facilities," said Natalia Mykolska, member of the Supervisory Board and head of the committee on innovations.
As reported, the share of electricity production by hydroelectric power plants of PJSC Ukrhydroenergo in Ukraine’s United Energy System totals more than 10%.
