Another UAH 8M of seized Russian assets transferred to needs of Armed Forces of Ukraine

Another UAH 8 million of seized Russian assets was transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"At the request of the prosecutors, as part of the investigation against a resident of the Russian Federation, UAH 8 million of seized assets was transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

According to the investigation data, the officials and owners of a resident company of the Russian Federation launched an illegal financial mechanism of baseless formation of tax credit to resident companies, encashment and withdrawal of funds abroad.

Under the procedural guidance of the Podilsky District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv City, based on the case files of the Central City District Department of the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv City and Kyiv region, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted within the criminal proceedings over possible financing of actions committed with the aim of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of territorial boundaries or the state border of Ukraine, as well as possible abuse of authority by officials of the specified enterprise.

Measures are being taken to transfer other property to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported, the Kyiv prosecutor's office transferred more than UAH 52 million of seized funds of a tea company with Russian beneficiaries to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
