Market of non-banking services down by 37 actors - NBU

In March, 37 institutions were expelled from the registers of non-banking financial market players.

This was reported by the press service of the National Bank, Ukrinform reports.

"Thirty-seven participants in the non-banking financial services market were expelled from the registers: 12 financial companies, five pawnbrokers, two credit unions, and five leasing companies were excluded from the registers voluntarily while the exclusion of seven financial companies, five insurers, and a leasing firm was enforced," the statement says.

The total number of non-bank financial market actors decreased from 1,384 (as of February 28) to 1,347 (as of March 31).

According to the NBU, as of March 31, a total of 110 non-life insurers remained in place (against 115 in February) and 12 life insurers (number unchanged), an insurer with a special status, 171 pawn shops (176), 157 credit unions (159), 89 leasing companies (95), 682 financial companies (701), 58 insurance brokers (unchanged), and 67 collection agencies (unchanged).

As reported, over the past year, the number of non-bank financial institutions in Ukraine decreased by 422, mainly due to the withdrawal of financial companies and credit unions.
