Ukrenergo holds first auction for electricity export to Moldova
NEC Ukrenergo held the first auction for the distribution of capacity of interstate power networks for the export of electricity to Moldova as of delivery day, April 11.
NEC Ukrenergo announced the news on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"According to the auction results, 51% (330 out of 650 MW) of all available capacity of networks in this direction was distributed among four actors. In view of the war in Ukraine and related risks, access to interstate crossings is currently allocated only for a short-term period at daily auctions," the statement reads.
It is noted that today, April 10, an auction will be held for the distribution of 80 MW of capacity of the interstate crossing toward Poland for the delivery date of April 12. The possibility of opening exports to Slovakia is also currently being negotiated.
As reported, the Ministry of Energy recently made a decision to resume electricity exports to Europe on the condition of ensuring priority to Ukrainian consumers and surplus electricity generation in the power system.
