Kherson watermelons to be harvested this year – Khlan

Gourds will be sown on Kherson region’s right bank liberated from the Russian army.

A member of the Kherson Regional Council, Serhiy Khlan, reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform says.

Khlan told Apostrophe TV channel that farmers have started spring field work where demining has been carried out. According to him, just over 10% of the agricultural land on the right bank has been cleared of mines. Farmers will not be able to work on the territory along the Dnipro River.

"It is rather symbolic and very significant that, especially after the liberation of Osokorivka, Kherson watermelons will be produced this year," Khlan assured.
